Mercy-Care Emergency Medical Service Pty Ltd was established by Best Care Ambulance Service Directors, Kobus & Elize Bester and Best Care Ambulance Service Operational Manager, Xander Loubser. Mercy-Care is a give-back project to celebrate Best Care Ambulance Service’s 20th year existence in 2020.
Over the years, Best Care Ambulance Service rendered emergency care to the greater parts of Pretoria in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. Best Care is a very successful private ambulance service and carried a great deal of expenses in rendering emergency care to non-billable patients. The management team of Best Care closed some of these gaps in 2018 when they endorsed a non-profit organization, Emergency Support Team (EST) with Xander being one of the Directors of this organization. However, the demand for ambulance transport to non-billable patients remains high and this is where the idea of Mercy-Care emerged. Mercy-Care is a sponsor-driven project where Best Care oversee the daily operations and the day-to-day logistics.
Mercy-Care renders free emergency care to its community, regardless of the patients’ financial status. Mercy-Care consist of emergency personnel who volunteers for the organization and to sustain this project, Best Care oversees the project every month. Mercy-Care is available on standby, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mercy-Care is open for partnerships and expansion of the cause
